Shawan Cymbidium species-- Qi Jian Bai Mo has prosperous leaves with long lasting flowering period, its flowers petalss and stems are white, with beautiful color and fragrance, and has been popular among the orchid lovers. The Shawan Orchid Association has this type refined, which had it awarded as the Guangzhou Famous Agricultural Products. Shawan government had this kind of orchid and other types registered the trademark as “Green Luo” brand, which has made orchid industry localized. 

There is a saying about Jian Qi Bai Mo that “the black is not white, the white is not black; the black just like its name, so is the white; the black can become white, so can the human being become white from the black”, from which we can realize that persons will be influenced by close association. 

In the late Qing Dynasty, in the book Narration on Orchid of Linghai by Ou Jince it states: “Canton is famous for its Bai Mo Su orchids, with its outstanding flowers, crystal and moist leaves and fine fragrance, which are the three unique characteristics.
