After about six years efforts, the youngsters in Shakeng village from the primary to the 20s years old are passionate in Lion Dance, thus there are a lot of members in Dragon and Lion Troupe. However, Zhou thought it was not enough, and the reputation of the troupe was not famous enough either, so more talented members were needed for the troupe. In 2000, Shakeng village was announced as the China National Training Team by Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance Association, which has determined the basic development of Shakeng village dragon and lion culture. In order to follow up the victory and to do best, Zhou Zhenlong said at the top of it, a series of trainings, such as training, performance and competitions, should be catered into the team. The former rehearsal venue was not big enough, so a larger one was built, which not only attracted other lion dance troupes to come and learn, but also lots of audience to visit. The former stages became smaller and simpler, so another standard sports stadium was built to cater for the performance and audience. The lion dance is a kind of folk art with the combination of sports and athletics, having its own artistic charm and unique art languages, was popular among the travel industry. Nowadays, Shakeng village has become the dedicated travel site for International Youth Travel Agent Hong Kong Site, receiving over tens of thousands of Hong Kong and Canton tourists, of which the most are middle and primary students, and around over three hundreds of troupes has been visiting the lion dance performance.
