Reconstructed Period

Zhou ZhenLong is like other villagers in Shakeng village, and came from Nanhai, Foshan. In 1950s, the whole village was moved to Shakeng village, Panyu district from Nanhai because of the construction of Foshan airport. The lion show was divided into two kinds, the south faction and the north faction. Nanhai was the cradle of the south faction (called Xingshi). When Zhou Zhenlong and his villagers moved to Shakeng, they brought this traditional folk art in here. In the 1997, Zhou Zhenlong and the village government decided to set up the Shakeng's Dragon and Lion association which had a significant effect on the development on Shakeng's cultural construction. The Dragon and Lion association has lion team and the dragon team. Zhou Zhenlong has become the director of this association. From now on, Mr. Zhou spares effort on his dragon and lion enterprise as well as needs to well manage the village economy.
